This session will be looking at different small devices and what can and cannot be done with them. Small devices being considered will be: mobile phones, personal digital assistants, portable games consoles and ultra mobile portable computers (for those lucky enough to have one!).
If anyone has these devices they should bring them along and also there favourite 'mobile' resource - it doesn't have to be educational. During the session we will be trying out accessing different objects with the devices and seeing what is working and addressing some of the issues.
So this is definately a case of leave your mobile on!!
Hints
We will be using bluetooth, so it will be useful to find out if your device has it and how to use it. We will be using Wifi (which I am told should be available nearby)
Light Reading
Here is a link to some notes on a previous presentation about creating mobile learing objects. This workshop will be broader but the links on the write up will provide useful background for those new to the subject
